Leaves of Change is a collective effort to make the world greener, one tree at a time. Through community-driven plantation events and awareness campaigns, we aim to restore balance to ecosystems, revive neglected spaces, and inspire a sense of responsibility toward our planet.
When and Where
The Leaf Project took its first steps toward environmental action in 2023 in Bangladesh by planting 21 saplings in Dhaka and 23 in Sylhet.
These early efforts were undocumented, yet they sparked the beginning of a journey to bring greenery back to local communities.
These plantations were more than just an act of planting trees. They created moments for volunteers and community members to reflect on the importance of green spaces in urban areas and the role each individual plays in sustaining them. Even in the absence of documentation, the experience inspired others in the local communities to take notice and think about their own environmental impact.
These plantations serve as a reminder that every tree planted, no matter how few, contributes to a healthier, greener, and more sustainable world. They also laid the foundation for future organized campaigns, aiming to expand awareness and community participation in environmental care.
Future Plan
Building on our early tree plantation efforts, The Leaf Project aims to organize larger, documented campaigns across Dhaka, Sylhet, and other cities. These initiatives will focus on engaging schools, youth groups, and local communities, encouraging active participation in planting and caring for trees.
We plan to combine hands-on planting with awareness activities, teaching participants about the importance of green spaces, biodiversity, and sustainable practices. Every future campaign will include documentation, photos, and follow-ups to track growth and impact.
